Pipeline Developer
Your tasks:
Under the direction of the Head of Pipeline, your main missions will be:
- Participate in workflow discussions and contribute to the design, planning, estimating and implementation of new and/or improved workflows and tools.
- Actively develop, debug and maintain code for tools and automation primarily using Python.
- Provide solutions to visual problems through existing tools or by the development of new tools, ensuring that tools and procedures support the creative process and match our quality standards.
- Test and validate new releases of pipeline tools with the help of our automated CI/CD system.
- Create and maintain technical and user-oriented documentation.
Your technical and artistic skills
- 5+ years of experience in a Pipeline developer/TD position, ideally on animated or VFX feature films
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics software principles
- Experience in Python development (C++ is a bonus)
- Proven experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tools in relevant software, such Maya, Mari, Houdini or Nuke
- Experience with Guerilla or similar path-traced renderers such as Renderman, Arnold or V-Ray is a bonus
- Experience developing Qt-based tools is a bonus
- Experience with USD is a bonus
- Experience in Real Time workflows using Unreal Engine or Unity is a bonus
- Ability to quickly acquire a working understanding of new software tools and libraries
